MMM im not sure the reviewer was playing the same game as everybody else. He fails to mention the fact the game does not always give you the tiles to do the puzzles. Puzzle 3 took me 19 yes 19 goes before the game generated the tiles i needed. Its even harder on the DS puzzle i think its about number 18 where you have to spell DS in green tiles on the gameplay grid. I am still yet to get enough tiles to do this puzzle in 61 goes. Also why no mention of the scoring system and the fact the game is far to forging when it comes to making connections its easy to get X4 combos EVERY TIME. The game needs to introduce some new bonus tiles to make it interesting. You also get what seams like an age to place your tile. However what angered me most was the control system. When trying to make X4 combos sometimes the game just breaks your chain for no reason. IMo this game has the foundations to be a classic however the developer has not put any thought into what they were doing with the basic gameplay concept and its left with what is quite a messy attempt at a puzzle game.
themole: I was most certainly playing the same game and I agree that the tiles given are at random (hence why it's not called 'puzzle mode', but 'task mode'). About difficulty: I myself had to take 3 tries at most for every puzzle up to level 15 or so. The control system works fine for me. No breaking of chains without reason, except when I make an error myself by selecting a wrong tile or using a badly calibrated touchscreen. Like I said, it's a nice game if you like the Polarium concept. Perhaps you want a game once? I failed to find any people online unfortunately
Yeah thats sounds good. Want to arrange a time and a day? Tuesday is best for me. I work till 6 but anytime after that and i will surely have a couple of matches with you.
themole: When playing task mode, try the following:- Instead of waiting for the correct sequence of tiles, learn how to "clear away" tiles you don't need. Reserve a corner or space (near an edge) and build color groupings of unwanted tiles. Theoretically if you can master that you can wait a long time till the game gives you the piece you really need. The games pace will pick up faster if you are doing x4 combos, than if you were doing x1 combos. It is easy to make a x4 combo - but what is your highest score on your 1st move at the start of SCORE mode? Can you beat 4000?
themole: Tuesday's a bad day for me, as I'll be at work until 23:00 (or a bit later). I'll PM you my friend-code somewhere this week :) If there are more people interested: a little competition perhaps? :)
