NDS Itadaki Heading For DS?

Square-Enix might be working on a new Itadaki game, this time for the Nintendo DS. Update The first scan has arrived.

According to a recent blog posting by 'odeko_06', who recently forecasted the announcement of Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings, Square-Enix is working on a new Itadaki game for the Nintendo DS.

In the Nintendo DS version, many characters from the Dragon Quest series will be playable, as well as Mario, Luigi and Jessica.

Update The first scan has arrived. The first scan of Itadaki DS has arrived. As can be seen from the scan as well, Mario and friends are included in the game as claimed earlier today. Itadaki is a game similar to Monopoly. gamers roll dice to traverse around a board, purchasing property and earn money when opponents land on the player's property. In addition, players can buy and sell stocks of blocks, affecting the value of the properties within it. By collecting icons around the board and returning to the start position, characters can also level up.

  • Jessica got me pondering as well. The source mentioned this character apart from the Dragon Quest series, but Jessica's one of the characters from S-E's Dragon Quest. NPC: that's the PSP version of the game ;)

  • OK, that scan clears things up a lot. I had no idea what you were talking about before. Game looks cool, I love Monopoly. And everyone knows Mario needs to be in another board game.

  • This is just another one of Square Enix's game where they are trying to make every cent of money out of the already existing characters and games rather than creating new ideas.
