Fighting it's Way to the DS
Majesco Entertainment today announced Nacho Libre for the Nintendo DS. Based on the upcoming Paramount Pictures'/Nickelodeon Movies' film starring Jack Black, Majesco's Nacho Libre video game offers fans comedic wrestling mayhem : exaggerated moves, wacky props and lots of pratfalls, all delivered in a unique 'photo puppetry' visual style.
'We're proud to announce the first Nintendo DS wrestling game for the US and European markets,'? said Ken Gold , vice president of Marketing, Majesco Entertainment. 'Å“ Nacho Libre is the perfect movie to translate into a handheld experience and our game captures all of the humorous wrestling action from the film.'
Nacho Libre, opening in theaters on June 16 , stars Jack Black as Ignacio (Nacho), a cook by day in a Mexican orphanage who moonlights as a Lucha Libre wrestler to raise money for the orphans in this comedy from the creators of 'œNapoleon Dynamite'? and the writer of 'œThe School of Rock.'?
In Majesco's Nacho Libre game , players can play as Nacho or more than 10 other luchadors, all with their own unique abilities. The game also features a range of over-the-top wrestling attacks, four play modes, themed Touch Screen mini-games, 4 player wireless matches and numerous arenas from the movie in which players can battle to be the ultimate Luchador.

I might check out the game because I like wrestling games, but there is no way I will see this movie, or Napoleon Dynamite for that matter.
The movie looks good... and Napoleon Dynamite was great but over rated.
wasn't this known for a while now? I told my friend who is a Jack Black fan and he said "they are not going to make a Nacho Libre game." Evertime I bring it up he laughs and says it again. He doesnt get online much. Ok I told him about this post and he said he was saying that because it would be crap if they did so he didn't believe it.
There were a lot of rumors but Majesco only made it official today.
the fact that the creators of napoleon dynamite helped make this just lowers me seeing this movie napoleon dynamite was a stupid movie because it wasnt funny

Actually, this [i]was[/i] confirmed to GameSpot back during E3, missed it myself as I was too busy posting all other stuff :/
Well we have an official PR now ey? Anyway, movie trailer seemed - odd. Probably go see it, doubt I'd buy the game.
i saw the movie and it was pretty durn funny. of course i love NP too but skeletors sreaming was sooo funny :p
