NDS Have You Seen Me? Black DS Missing

Over two million US dollars worth of black Nintendo DS Lite units missing. The horror!

Sina Games is reporting that Nintendo has lost one of its shipments lately. The container, containing black Nintendo DS Lite units destined for the European release in two weeks, has gone missing in Hong Kong on its route from China to Europe. The estimated loss? 18 million Hong Kong dollars (about 2.3 million US dollars).

The black DS Lite was received by gamers as one of the more 'cool' variants of the Nintendo DS Lite. As the black DS Lite units were supposed to be exclusive for Europe, the Hong Kong police suspects that the black DS Lite units currently on sale in Hong Kong are part of some loot. One million Hong Kong dollars (worth approximately 125.000 US dollars) is offered to anyone who can hand in the golden tip leading to the looting party.

  • Damned chinese thieves. They stole OUR Nintendo DS black! We usually don't get anything special from Nintendo. The one time that we get Nintendo DS black before USA, they stole a large part of shipment.
