Final Fantasy III DS in July? Online?
According to the latest rumors, Shonen Jump confirms that Final Fantasy III will be launching in Japan sometime during July and will also utilize Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection. More details to come soon, partial scan inside. Update: Full scan added, rumors confirmed.

I'm not a full on FF fanboy so I need some clarity here: This is going to be a redo of the Japanese FFIII, not the FFIII SNES game that is actually FFVI right?
Correct, this is a remake of FFIII for the Famicom that never came out here. Kefka is not in the game, the onion kids are.

ff3 does look amazing but not better then tot noway
This is great news but killing people waiting for good RPG's. These RPG's probably won't show up int he states for at least a few months past their Japanese release date. Oh I agree with flipping heck, I'm really confused what's true and not.
FF3 definately look better that TOT and i thought TOT was awesome lol Square never let you down.

@ sawyer. Metroid Prime was on a 128mb(1 gigBIT) catridge.. which is the highest Nintendo DS Capacity catridge however Nintendo has said it is possible to extend this to as high as Nintendo or the a 3rd party would want.. but that will Cost Alot and higher costs would mean higher prices for the game. Tony Hawks AS was on a 64mb catridge to reduce costs so u can imagine how expensive the catridges are. Big companies like Nintendo and Square can afford higher cause they know the software will sell like Hot Cakes wherelse the company behind Tony hawks had to do a gamble so to say cause they didnt know how much it would sell on the DS so went for the cheaper option. ETA: Anyone see the Battle screens they dont have a Battle Menu.. i think maybe we attack with the stylus..
We probably choose the attacks/magic on the bottom screen - seems like the first 3D proper FF game on a Nintendo system. (This is Ben Ds-x2 by the way).
tot battle system is so much superior comepare to ff game. as well as storyline are strong enough well never play ps 1 only nintendo 1.
I guess its a matter of opinion then.. i think Final Fantasy has a much deeper and electriyfing storyline with heart breaking twists and turns.. while the Tales of series has good storyline but just not as good as Final Fantasy series... I prefer the FF battle system too.. lol..

Hey Andrew/Dennis etc. It's Ben here, my PC has kinda blown up + needing new power supply. So won't be online for a while. And this is okay news, see how it turns out. And whats with everyone thinking that a game will be awesome if it's online (for DS/Rev).

Im a bit confused with this Wi-Fi malarchy, When people mention Wifi it could mean either online or offline. Like Tales of the Tempest has WiFi connection but its not an online game. Argh!

When they say "Nintendo's WiFi Connection" or just "WiFi", they mean it is online. When they say "wireless" that means offline.
thats good but i think they should make another final fantasy tactics and make that online.Anyway lets hope its true

Ah! rumors, the creator and destroyer of dreams. The "rumor" only stated that they will "utilize" wi-fi. Wi-fi just mean it is capable of connecting to wireless network, not necessarily mean the game will be on-line. I truely hope they don't use wi-fi for only trade items and versus mode. Besides, I have Shonen Jump issue 18, for 2006-4-17, I have seem no such news. Unless my lack of ability in reading Japanese have somehow effected my understanding of the magazine's articles.
flipping_heck, you're very confused, Tales of the Tempest is online for select missions.
The FFIII info. is definitely suppose to be in the next Jump. Not all Famitsu scores are out yet, I'll report them when they are all leaked.
