NDS RAM expansion GBA cart & TV card unlikely to be released outside Japan

Latest reports say that a RAM expansion cart will be bundled with the upcoming DS web browser that fits into the GBA port. And Nintendo confirms that their other recent addon for the DS is unlikely to leave Japan.

Unmentioned in previous reports, it seem that a RAM expansion cart will be bundled with the upcoming DS Opera web browser and it will fit directly into the GBA slot of the DS. When asked, Nintendo denied that other DS titles are currently planned to use this device in the future and given that the expansion will only come bundled with web browser at this time makes it no surprise. There will be two versions of this expansion cart to cater to either DS design, no differences between them other then the fact that one is a centimeter shorter than the other has been revealed as yet. Here's a picture of both from the showcase at the DS Lite conference:

As for release outside Japan for these recently announced addons, the web browser is currently hoped to make a European appearance, but an official announcement has yet to be made. However, at the same time Nintendo confirmed that the 1Seg Digital TV Card is unlikely to leave Japan due to the fact that it uses a terrestrial broadcasting service.
