PM Your DS-x2 Friends
Only a minor addition to DS-x2, but still worth mentioning.
Some of you might have never noticed the big 'forum' button near the top of the screen, but clicking that button will take you to the official DS-x2 Forums. Today, the DS-x2 framework has been extended a tiny bit, allowing you to link your Forum-ID to your DS-x2 Profile. The benefits? Communication.
By linking your Forum-ID to your DS-x2 Profile, two things will appear. First of all, in the comments below every news article on DS-x2, a tiny icon will appear in front of one's name, allowing you to directly send a message to that person through the DS-x2 Forums. Of course, this icon will only appear if you're logged in on the website, have linked your own Forum-ID and if (and only if) the other person has also linked his Forum-ID.
The second place where you will encounter new communication methods, is in the DS-x2 Nintendo WiFi Connection Program (hidden under My Profile). In the My Friends-list, the same communication icons will appear if both you and your friend have linked your Forum-ID to your DS-x2 Profile. This way, it's easier to contact your friends from DS-x2 and arrange multiplaying sessions.
So, where can I link my Forum-ID and Profile, one might ask. That's simple. Just head over to My Profile, and select the 'edit profile' option. The form will ask you for your Forum-name. Just enter the exact same name as you're currently using on the forums and submit the form. If correct, your Forum-ID will be linked.
Have fun!
