GBA Alten8 Retrofying GameBoy Advance

If it's up to developer Alten8, the GameBoy Advance market is filled with retro titles soon.

Alten8 has announced that within just 11 months of forming, it has signed up an impressive range of both retro games licenses and all new titles across a spectrum of formats, with release dates spread across the forthcoming months for these.

Alten8's list covers licenses on games from the Commodore C64, Vic 20, Sinclair Spectrum, Amiga, PC and many more. Now over 500 licensed games across these formats are expected to be re-released at some point in time. Many of these games will be released soon, working in conjunction with the intellectual property owners of both games and formats, on current formats such as the PC, PS2, GameBoy Advance and online play, covered by several publishing deals.

Alten8 has been commissioned to create all new GameBoy Advance games by its new co-publishing partners, the number of which should exceed 8 within six months, with others to follow. Full details on these titles will be released soon.

Finally Alten8 has an all new title coming to Pocket PC, Windows, mobile phones, GameBoy Advance and other formats still in discussion. This all new horror based, fighter game had an initial brief to create a game which becomes one of the best selling Pocket PC game ever, but has grown to look like having the potential to out perform that initial brief.
