According to the latest issue of Famitsu, Namco has renamed the game previously known as Xenosaga DS. • So that's like both the PS2 games on 1 cart? Or maybe a prequel to II but a sequel to I.

  • perhaps the storyline of I and II, but in a degraded form to fit the DS :)

  • DS utilize console decoding, so the Nintendo games in general requires smaller space than PS games. Also DS cartridge can hold 1 gig of space, so it should be able to hold a standard PS2 game on it easily (most PS2 games are around 1.6 gig). But Xenosaga contains mostly animation, so the only way to do so is to make a 2 cartridge set for each title.

  • ^ 1 gig? ! gigaBIT not BYTE. DS holds 128mb, twice the size of the biggest N64 game. Although DS games have used around 20-30mb so far. (Mario 64 DS only being around 20mb). WipEout Pure for PSP is 200mb. So not that much bigger than DS, although it can hold 1.6gbytes of space. Anyway, in the time of FF7. A company offered to compress all discs into one N64 cartridge with almost NO lack of detail in compressing the videos. But Square refused because of there relationship with Ninty at the time. Oh well. In other news, XS3 is announced for PS2, and first screens of Baiton Kaitos 2 for cube are out there!
