The new domain of the site formerly known as gba.n64europe.com is live. Hip... hip... hurray!

As you might remember, gba.n64europe.com was said to switch server and even lose the name gba.n64europe.com (and with that, gain a new domain). The old website was growing too heavy for our host Cube-Europe, and we decided to move with style.
The website gba.n64europe.com has changed to DS-x2.com and is currently available for the public to visit. While we can't guarantee that the switch is 100% perfect, we think it's stable enough to inform you of the latest news from the Nintendo DS and GameBoy Advance scenes. If you do find any irregularities, bugs or errors, please inform us using the contact form or, if it's the form not working, directly at dennis at ds-x2.com
Concluding: out with the old, and in with the new and slightly improved DS-x2!

Nice little update... I have no problems with the name. It´s little weird but so was gba.n64europe. Good job!! ^_^
cmon, thats ridiculous, unless you just want a site for friends and if you want a lot of people make this "x2" mean something.... your getting ridiculous i thought ds meant dual screens, you shouldnt have to dive too deep to get the meaning, it should be a subconcious thing. This is one of the best news sources, if you wanna get more people look for something broad, but not too broad. If x2 stays make background black and get some bright green or red neon colors bouncing of it. i duunno
Ah, come on, I like the name. Yes, I thought it up but it has lots of sides to it. There's the two screens on DS, so screens x2. There's two handhelds, so x2. There's twice the coverage on this site, so x2. Nintendo offers twice the fun: x2. You can go EVERY way. The other suggestions made which I saw were quite simple, like DSNews, DSInfo, gameboyeurope, handheldnews and one of my favorites, G.B.A.DS :D. The problem with those that they're already taken, or they're too long, or they're just a bit simple. DS-X2 wasn't taken, wasn't long, and has some, might I call it, mystique. ;)
like everyone else i'm not to fussed by the new name :-/ But i like the site all the same, the best gba+ds news site out there :)
There used to be smileys when I first started the comment-system, however I do think they'll need some redesign as well, as they were based on the old (beige) layout...
You could always use my idea! <b>G</b>reat <b>B</b>rilliant <b>A</b>mazing <b>D</b>S/GBA <b>S</b>ite (<b>G.B.A. D.S.</b>) OK, maybe not. But it is creative, right? I don't remember there being any smilies before, but it'd be cool if you brought 'em back!

ps: i do like how its short but if you want to continue gba make it handheld something, or dsgba-news or something. but x2 sounds like something that this site is not, oh well, ill still visit everyday, but the way i dirst got to this website was thru google and i clicked onto this because of a general name. Also maybe your should show this is a different website later on, but this is fine. (maybe change that little gba in the address bar to an x2 or a ds) I do love your site, these are just suggestions. I really like your work here, thats why this is the only site outside of myspace i check everyday, cause i know ill get something in the news for ds or anything that ign and gamespot doesnt have. You might want to capitalize on that. I dont care if its hacks. Anything is good, even...... sigh the kid games because we need a good laugh and to read humorous comments every once in a while.... PSS: Like how i dont cuss for this kid-friendly site no more?
if x2 is permanent, update the page to a more futuristic look, like contrast dark and bright colors. I liked gba.n64europe.com because no extras. maybe a ds-europe.com or a ds-info.com, something straight.
DS-x2 was suggested by a colleague from another DS-website. While it was just a rough idea, I kind of liked the name even though we didn't have a reason for the x2 part yet. Most other URL's suggested by people only targetted the DS or only the GBA (gbaeurope.com, ds-info.com, etc). This one however showed the DS as the main platform (since it is nowadays), but also reflected the GBA-platform with the x2 ("times two"). For me, DS-x2.com is short and easy to remember while it also shows what we're doing. Besides, the content remains the same and that's what we're all here for... isn't it? :) ps. anyone in for re-activating the commect-smileys as well?

The new name is pretty cool I just don't get the X2 part.
New name - weird, don't like, meaningless. New URL - Its shorter, which is nice News icons - Nice touch

Meh.. the new name is kinda bland :( What the heck does X2 mean? Why do people still think X's make names COOL?
I agree on the header, however I don't have time enough to throw in a complete redesign myself. If anyone can create a nice header (or even come up with a nice logo or idea), I'll see what I can do... :)
I have no problem with the name, but the logo at the top is not cool. It barely catches yur eye. I like the new layout with the pics by the news, though.
dennis, good job, but x2 sounds like a ds flash cart. But oh well its about the news inside........
