Animal Crossing Releasedates Clash
Nintendo Power and Nintendo of America are having a clash based on the releasedate of Animal Crossing DS. Update Unfortunately it was just a mix-up. Thanks to Guilwolf of the Nintendo forums for emailing Nintendo.
Where Nintendo of America released a press release and a release schedule stating a Q4 2005 release for Animal Crossing DS, the latest edition of the official Nintendo magazine (Nintendo Power) is reporting a July-2005 release of the same game.
Which of the two is correct remains unknown for the moment, but since even NOA's press extranet is reporting a Q4 2005 release, we feel that it will be a few months later than Nintendo Power's attempt.
Update Unfortunately it was just a mix-up. Thanks to Guilwolf of the Nintendo forums for emailing Nintendo.
To your dissapointments it was just either a mix-up or misprint. Guilwolf emailed Nintendo about this and got the reply:
"Sorry for the confusion. As far as we can see, Animal Crossing still carries an estimated release date sometime in the Fourth Quarter (October, November, or December) of 2005. I am not sure if the statement in Nintendo Power was a misprint, or merely an error.
Please keep checking our website for more information on this and all Nintendo titles. When updates are announced, you will see them posted to our site."
Oh well, even though Animal Crossing DS hasn't got a date set in Europe yet, Mario Kart will be available by the end of this year. Thanks to Guilwolfagain of the Nintendo forums for emailing Nintendo.
