Big mergers in the games industry: Bandai has acquired Namco!

Bandai, the company behind the Powerrangers, Digimon and Dragonball Z games, and Pac-Man-Namco have announced a merger between the two companies.

Earlier this morning, several Japanese sources stated that Bandai and Namco were interested in a merger between the two companies, which would result in the second-largest toy and videogames producer in Japan. Not much later, Bandai announced that they had bought Namco for 1.7 billion US dollar (about ?1.3 billion). The new name? Namco Bandai Holdings Inc. (how original)

  i cant believe they bought them out!!!! if someone was gonna buy someone out, i would think it would be namco buying out bandai.
