NDS Ubi Announces New DS Games

Ubi Soft has officially confirmed the release of one title, and added another two.

At the Nintendo DS European press conference, Yves Guillemot confirmed the release of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith for the Nintendo DS this spring, and announced that a Nintendo DS version of King Kong, based on the movie that will be released on December 14, is set for a release during the 2005 holiday season. Furthermore, this Summer Ubisoft will publish Bomberman DS, from Japanese developer Hudson Soft.

But that's not all! In addition, Ubi Soft revealed today that its highly-anticipated stealth sequel Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory will also come out on the handheld platform later this year. Other games based on internal franchises will enrich the company's line-up in the future.

"Our full support of the Nintendo DS is clearly visible by the number of titles coming out with the launch," said Yves Guillemot, Chairman and CEO of Ubi Soft. "We are proud to offer one of the most diverse line-ups of any major editor. Racing, platform, stealth, or action- there is truly something for all tastes."

Guillemot also stressed out once again that Ubi Soft will deliver Rayman DS, Sprung (not in entire Europe) and Asphalt: Urban GT with the European launch of the Nintendo DS. The US can also expect to see Rayman DS in the stores in March.

  • Just look at the N-Gage library. All the games on that platform will go towards Nintendo DS because of the same chip Arm9 (in both handhelds).
