Space Invaders DS

One of the oldest games on one of the newest platforms: Space Invaders returns. Update It's 'sequel' apparantly...

Almost every platform had their own version of Space Invaders. Now, Taito has announced that they'll release a new Nintendo DS version soon. Space Invaders DS is currently set for a release in Japan on March 24, 2005.

Update It's 'sequel' apparantly... According to the latest information originating from a Japanese store owner, Space Invaders DS will be a 'sequel' of the original. The game will feature two game-modes: Classic and 'New Age'. The Classic-version will be similar to the original Space Invaders games; The 'New Age' version will add the use of the touchscreen to control the game.

  would be nice if Nintendo DS got some real games and not the same old shit which every console gets and nobody likes.... DS is a nice system, but the announcesd games don't look that great. Give me some real N64+ quality games and no cheap 2D shit. I like 2D if developers put some effort in it.

  there are quite a few killer-apps coming. Metroid Prime Hunters, Nintendogs, Mario Kart DS, etc. However, just with the GBA, the good games aren't released all at the start. We've only got the DS around for about 3 months now.
