NDS Update: Rayman DS - Pal Boxart (part 2)

For the second time in a week, we bring you news on the European boxshot of Rayman DS.

Update: According to our colleagues from G-Freaks.de Nintendo of Europe confirmed that we'll get "plastick boxes".

Earlier this week, we brought you the first shots of a green version of the Rayman DS boxart. Ubi Soft Germany finally showed the green boxart in a low resolution, meaning the boxart could indeed be genuine.

Today we've got 100% full confirmation from Ubi Soft about the boxart. The European version of Rayman DS will be packed in the green box (below).

Our contact at Ubi Soft did not know whether the European DS games will be sold in the hard dvd-case-like boxes, or in the cardboard boxes as was the case with the GBA. However, the inlays our contact recently received for Rayman DS did not resemble the original 'normal' GBA inlays. Chance is, that Europe will get the dvd-case-like boxes after all. *phew*

  • I think the DVD cases are much sleeker. It would be a pity if they discontinued them.

  • Oh yeah, I forgot to ask this. What cases do PSP games come in?

  • Thanks afroman. Is there a place I could see a picture of one? P.S. How did you think up your name?

  • Nintendo Australia is giving out cardboard demo boxes of Super Mario 64 DS and Wario to game stores here in Aus. So, maybe the pic of the Rayman box was a demo box. I doubt that PAL territories will get boxes and not cases when Japan and America both got cases.

  • Thanks again afroman. Jeez one of these days I'll have to do something for you or I'll feel bad about myself. Like a freeloader.
