Nintendo of Japan suddenly announced a meeting to discuss some points of importance for the Nintendo DS.

First of all, Nintendo said that it targets to sell 4 million Nintendo DS unit by the end of this business year. Then Nintendo moved on to the price of the Nintendo DS...

The NDS will be released in the United States on November 21, wearing a $149.99 price-tag. Japan will launch the new handheld/console on December 2 at a price of 15,000 Yen ($136.50).

Another point of importance is PictoChat. This piece of software was shown during the E3 event and allows player to send over text and images wirelessly to nearby NDS systems. And a Nintendo DS in sleep mode will spring to life if it senses another DS in transmitting range, alerting users to each other's presence and setting the stage for an impromptu conversation or game session. But now for the big news.... Nintendo announced that PictoChat will be built in all Nintendo DS systems!

The Nintendo DS will also be shipped with a demo version of Metroid Prime: Hunters.

 • Yup. But according to US Today, it's not a demo it's the full version. Like when the Super NES came with mario allstars free and the old GB came with tetris free.

 • USA Today and IGN both reported it after an interview with Perry Kaplan. However, Tim from Cube-Europe did some research and heard from the head of [N]Gamer (Dutch Magazine) that it will indeed be a demo. (By the way, IGN also spoke about it being a demo now)
