OsseMaarten asked:

Hi there,

I just want to know what race game you like most. I don't own a race game, and I really want to buy one, could you give me some advice please? Thanks in advance.

Maarten

My answer:

Well basically, there are a few good racinggames. The all time favorite is (of course) Mario Kart: Super Circuit. There's a very small (because it was one of the first reviews for me) on this site, so head over there for some screenshots and a basic impression of the game. Of course there are other (more realistic) racinggames aswell. V-Rally 3 is one of the best. The cars are rendered in 3D, and the tracks contain difference in height aswell. If you're looking for a nice (but a bit hard) racegame, consider this title. I'd also like to mention Micro Machines. Another wellknown game (also from other platforms). Not quite a realistic game, but you're in for some serious racing and action.

Hi.

- I wonder, wenn will XtraFun be realesed??? - Wenn will the next GB be realesed? - Do you have any information about it??

Here we go:

there's one simple answer to all three of these questions: We don't know. The XtraFun was scheduled for a release in 2003, but there's no official date set. About the next GBA, nothing is known yet. I do suggest reading the previous issues of this mailbag, since a question a lot like your has been asked already ;)

  • my favourite racinggame of al time (of all the ones that i have played), was Diddy Kong Racing, by a long shot.

  • the Diddy Kong Pilot game (with tilt chip) would've rocked. Unfortunately, it was canned...
