Big 3DS announcement in September?
Nintendo is planning their shareholders conference which is usually held around the time of TGS. There are now rumours that a big 3DS announcement will happen then.
The event will occur on the 13th of September, which is a few days before TGS. Like usual Nintendo will not be attending TGS, but instead opting to have their own shareholders event which contains new information on currently announced games as well as announcements about future products as well.
The show is used to a wide array of various new announcements; past reveals include the Wii Remote and the 3DS console.
It is expected however that this year there will be a big announcement relating to the 3DS. Could there be some fruit to the rumours about a 3DS reboot or is it just some amazing new game?

I am expecting they will push some 3DS titles out early. It's way too early for a redesign.
I doubt anyone would accept a redesign. The recent price-cut wouldn't help for that either.
To be honest if Nintendo releases all the games they have ready then says "we are finished with the 3DS, it was a mistake, we will be back next year with something with more thought" I doubt anyone would be upset.
Actually, there's at least one person to be upset: me. Tintin proved to me that 3D can work and add to the gaming fun. I honestly was 'wow'-ed.
I guess, I wouldn't be as A-Ok with it either. I'd probably complain about been ripped off, expecially with the price. Though on the flip side I never have been happy with the 3D. Partly because I'm probably in the minority which can experience headaches when playing, and as for my brother he can't look at the 3D without getting a headache. So in that regard when this discusting 3D fad is gone, I wouldn't be upset.
More games NOW and not coming soon would be nice.
