3DS Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D Konami Conference Information

Konami held their Pre-E3 show earlier today. Revealing more information, screens and a trailer; form their upcoming 3DS Metal Gear Solid title.

The 3DS version of Snake Eater is based on Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Including the full game from the original updated to the 3DS. However Konami has also included some little surprises and unique features to the 3DS version.

A new mode called "Photo-Camo" will allow players to take a photo with the 3DS camera and use that image as the camouflage on Snake's outfit. It is unknown if this will affect gameplay at this stage or if it is purely cosmetic. With the original version of the game featuring players matching the right camouflage to the right situation.

The game will also make use of the 3DS gyro-sensor. When Snake comes to an object he can shimmy across such as a bridge or tree, players can tilt the 3DS to mimic Snakes balance.

Also look at the trailer, there is an interesting surprise at the end.

Also 12 new screenshots.

  • As for the game I might pic it up, it looks pretty solid.

  • I am not a big shooter fan, so although I am interested in the stealth aspect of the game they still need to do some more convincing to get my money.

  • I did enjoy the 'interactive demo' but I'm eager to see the finished product.
