3DS PokéDex 3D revealed

Nintendo has revealed Pokex 3D, a title which will release at the 3DS eShop launch.

The Pokex 3D will feature the Unova Pokex built in. However it is unknown if the application will get other regions Pokon included into the title.

Unova is the region which the resent Black and White versions where set in. However the Dex application will only have the first 16 entries unlocked. Through the use of SpotPass, StreetPass and scanning various QR Codes players will be able to unlock the whole Unova Dex.

The Pokex application is expected to be available for launch of the eShop in other regions as well, however it has only been confirmed for America at this stage.

It has been confirmed that at this stage the title will be free for North Americans. It's unknown if other regions will also get this application for free. The announcement of the title comes after light of Nintendo shutting down mobile applications with simular function.

  • Fun fact, one of my favorite new Pokemon is Hydreigon and I leveled it up from the original form to it so I can have it learn fly.

  • Interesting thing would be if this can be launched concurrently as Pokemon Black/White, so we can switch between the two without having to close the program.

  • I think they are trying to market it as a spotpass catching game.

  • Seems like they're trying to get the StreetPass thing to work as well. To me this is an attempt to get 3DS gamers out of the house and walk the streets.
