North American 3DS Launch Titles Revealed

Missing in action during the 3DS event yesterday, the launch lineup for the 3DS in North America has now been revealed.

One key piece of information missing from Nintendo of America's press event yesterday for the 3DS was the lineup of titles which will be gracing store shelves come March 27th. Well now, that information is no longer missing as the full lineup of titles which will be available at launch in North America has been revealed.

First Party: Pilotwings Resort Nintendogs + Cats Steel Diver

Third Party Asphalt 3D Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D Dead or Alive LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars Madden NFL Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D Resident Evil: The Mercenaries Ridge Racer 3D Super Street Fighter IV 3D

As expected, there is a heavy emphasis on third party titles with the 3DS and there's definitely a varied selection of titles to choose from, including Nintendo's own offerings which appear to offer something for both casual and hardcore gamers although the lack of true killer app to launch the console is a little disappointing.

Nevertheless, there's bound to be something for everyone and as it stands, this lineup of titles looks like it'll cross the Atlantic and make up what Europe will be getting on March 25th.

  For me- its a mega disapointing line up- probably just go for Pilot Wings- besides, theres heaps of titles I want in this "launch window" crap their pushing.

  I am really hoping Hironobu Sakaguchi can port The Last Story to 3DS. For that, I will purchase a Japanese 3DS as well as my US 3DS just for that. That's how much I love JRPG.

  The only RPG coming up in the immediacy, LeSomeGuy, is Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked but all that's known is that it'll be out sometime bewteen the March launch and E3 in June.

  The thing is that I am not much of a racer and shooter, I love old school JRPG. I am okay with fighting game but Dead or Alive is now basically a button masher and Super Street Fighter 4 system is a bit old, way too retro for me. So I am having a lot of trouble picking a launch title to get. Back on DS, my first game being Mario 64 and I beat that game 3 times.

  Well, the launchtitles are similarto Nintendo DS's. Back then I went for Asphalt and Madden (and Spiderman, I think). Have to admit I had the most fun with Asphalt. Out of these, I'd go for (in order): - Pilotwings Resort - Steel Diver - Asphalt 3D - Resident Evil: The Mercenaries - Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D - Nintendogs + Cats - Ridge Racer 3D - Super Street Fighter IV 3D - Dead or Alive - LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars - Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D - Madden NFL
