NDS Avanquest Announces Junior Brain Trainer 2 For DS

Exercise your brain and head back to school, top of the class, with the newly announced Junior Brain Trainer 2 for the DS, coming from Sanuk Games and Avanquest.

Avanquest Software Publishing is soon to release Junior Brain Trainer 2 on the Nintendo DSTM, a game designed to put young minds to the test and improve memory, spelling, reading, logic and problem solving skills. The second instalment of the popular children's learning game is aimed at 6-11 year olds and is packed full with 130 new mind boggling games and exercises to keep kids entertained while they learn.

The range of activities on Junior Brain Trainer 2 has been designed to create stimulating and fun game play that will help children improve a basic, yet important range of skills to support their classroom studies and build confidence in school. New to Junior Brain Trainer 2 are two game play modes, which players can choose from depending on age and academic level:

Progressive mode - this is better suited for younger players as they can start at the easiest level and work their way up through the harder exercises at their own gradual pace.

Pot Luck mode - more advanced players will find this a fun way to test their knowledge as questions at all levels are randomly generated.

Players must complete five training exercises each day in order to unlock a variety of mini games and this helps keep them focused and stimulated as they work towards a reward. Rewards include 11 new unlockable mini-games, designed to test memory, dexterity, agility, speed and concentration as players use the stylus or control pad to drag, drop and move objects around. These include:

Greedy Frog - players must help the frog catch 10 dragonflies by jumping over lilypads before they sink into the pond.

Find the Kennel - guide a puppy through a maze and back to its kennel before time runs out

Catch the Sheep - round the sheep up and get them back in their pen.

As well as new games there are old favourites such as Solitaire and Snake for players to enjoy plus activities such as Alphabet to improve writing skills and Hangman to help with spelling and reading skills.

New features in Junior Brain Trainer 2 include:

  • Two new game modes - Progressive and Pot Luck
  • 11 new unlockable mini games including; Whack a Mole, Fruit Picking and Save the Cheese
  • 130 new puzzles and activities
Junior Brain Trainer 2 is set for release in Europe on the 17th of September.
