Rayman 3 Info

Information and screens from the Rayman 3 connectivity. Check it out, this is completely new!

Ubi Soft has released some info and screens on the rayman 3 connectivity between the GBA and GC versions. This is almost brilliant!

First of all, the GC version unlocks a "final challenge" which can be downloaded to the GBA. The GC version must be finished before the level can be transfered.

Secondly, the GBA can upload 10 new maps to the GC version. Maybe a bit unfair, since we only got 1 level from the GC. However, the amount of maps depends on the amount of Lums Rayman has collected.

The best is yet to come... There's a multiplaying option between the GBA and GC version. The GC player will control Rayman on a racetrack. "This is interesting?", you think. Indeed, this is nothing special but I said multiplay. The GBA player will play a little game of Tetris. The fun part is, that the tetris pieces together form the track Rayman is racing on. The two players therefor must play together to avoid Rayman falling off and slowing themselves down too much.

The race-game has 3 different modes:The Great Escape - In this mode, the player must move forward as soon as possible because something dangerous is chasing him from behind. Treasure Hunting - Some treasures are scattered in a settled map, and the driver must collect all treasure in within the time limit. Competition - 4 players make up 2 teams competing each other at the same screen. The pilot reaching the end first wins.

To play this game, you'll need a GC version of rayman, a GC-controller and a GBA. To play the game with 4 players (2 teams), you'll need 2 GC controllers and 2 GBA's.
