ETC Server troubles - Continued

Dennis goes to Tunesia for one week, and all hell breaks loose on the DS-x2.com server. Fortunately, we're back (at least: for now). Update And.... we're back! Head inside for more details.

Our regulars should have noticed it: DS-x2.com was not around for almost a week. From last Thursday, the server decided to shut down and seemed unresponsive to any signals given. All life appeared to had left the big box...

Today, we have succeeded kicking the server back to life but unfortunately without much luck. As for now, the web- and database-servers (which serve you this website) are up-and-running. Other servers, such as our DS-x2.com mailserver, however are still unavailable.

We hope to solve all problems in the (very) near future and hope you stick with us even in these lesser times.

Update And.... we're back! Head inside for more details.

During the past three days, the DS-x2.com staff has been busy finding a new server for our precious site. Fortunately, we found a server within our budget (remember we're still a free-to-use service) capable of handling our requirements. During these days, the entire site has been moved to the new server, scripts have been tweaked to improve performance and brush out bugs due to the transfer itself and much, much more.

So what does this mean for you, our visitor? In short this means that DS-x2.com is back!

It's possible that you encounter any bugs we missed during test-driving the new server. In case you find anything that looks odd (weird characters in articles, broken links, passwords no longer working, etc), we ask you to report those bugs through our contact forms.

Finally: We appreciate the supportive emails we got from some of you over the past few days. We hope you all understand the trouble we went through during the past week and that we can welcome you again soon!
