NDS Music Monstars

Our colleagues from DS Fanboy discovered a new rhythm title for Nintendo DS we were unaware of: Music Monstars.

A currently only released in Spain title for the Nintendo DS, Music Monstars, is causing massive talk on various gaming forums already. The game, which appears to be a mixture between Band Brothers, Ouendan (or: Elite Beat Agents) and DS Guitar, allows players to play various well-known songs using instruments. Although this is nothing new, the game combines the circular rhythm-based action from Ouendan with learning actual chords as in for example DS Guitar.

Currently, three movies have appeared on YouTube showcasing the game in action. These movies show a developer showing off playing Europe's Final Countdown, O-Zone's Dragostea Din Tei (yes, the 'Numa-Numa' song) and Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus. The movies can be accessed through DS Fanboy's article.

Currently, no information is available on a possible broader release in Europe or the US, although we did notice an August release of Music Monsters for Nintendo DS on a recent Dutch release schedule.

  • Best music line up. Oh and its Depeche Mode who made Personal Jesus.
