ALL PlatinumGames Announced Two

PlatinumGames has announced two new titles for Wii and Nintendo DS. One of them pretty gory.

PlatinumGames, the company under the wings of SEGA consisting of mainly ex-Capcom employees, has announced two new titles for the Nintendo DS and Wii. Both titles will be released worldwide by SEGA.

Madworld (Wii) The shocking new title from producer Atsushi Inaba, the monochrome setting of Madworld is splashed with red as its exhilarating action takes over the screen. The gap between Madworld's graphic style, awash with light-hearted pop sensibilities, and its boundary challenging world-view brings forth a refreshingly new perspective to the action genre.

Madworld is one of those titles the world will most likely receive accompanied with much discussion. For those with a weak stomach and those under 18, we advice you not to watch the following trailer.

Infinite Line (Nintendo DS) A collaboration between Platinum Games producer Atsushi Inaba and Nude Maker's Hifumi Kouno, Infinite Line is a new take on the RPG genre set in the vast expanse of space.

Players will leap into an epic science fiction fantasy world of massive space battleships, controlling these crafts as they travel to a variety of interstellar locales. Each of the 150 types of battleships available within the game can be customized to the player's exact specifications and then used on a journey where they will meet over 200 compelling characters.

With new experiences and gameplay beyond what is often found in traditional RPGs, Infinite Line will bring an unimaginably limitless universe into the confines of the Nintendo DS.

 • Honestly, Madworld is one sick title. If we got the discussion about Manhunt 2, what will this bring to the world? :/

 • This may end up being worse than Manhunt 2. But as they guys at Platinum Games have said, they feel that a games console shouldn't be used for educational purposes and so small children really shouldn't be playing them. I suspect that this will probably end up the same way as Manhunt 2 though. Definitely don't see the BBFC letting this get released even though it's in a Sin City-esque visualisation. Although they could play that card and see where it gets them.
