Official Nintendo TV Tuner For DS

Nintendo of Japan has announced the release of an official TV tuner for the Nintendo DS.

Watching TV on the go, using your Nintendo DS. For some a dream, for others a bad idea, but for Japan it'll be reality in the near future as Nintendo of Japan has officially announced a digital TV tuner for the Nintendo DS.

On its website, the digital TV tuner is described in more detail. The TV tuner will be available as a slot-1 (the slot for Nintendo DS cartridges) add-on and features a double antenna for catching signal. During playback, the top screen will be used to hold the TV's signal, while the touch-screen is used for control.

The TV tuner will be compatible with both the original Nintendo DS ('Phat') and DS Lite.
