ETC DS-x2 Recruiting Round

It's that time of the year again: Springtime cleaning at the DS-x2 staff quarters.

Throughout the history of DS-x2, various people have helped out the site to become what it is now. Throughout that same period staffmembers came and went. Some came to DS-x2 hoping for free games, others showed potential and love for the role but suddenly went off without a trace.

At the moment, the DS-x2 staff is set back to less than a handfull of people. As working on DS-x2 is still on a voluntary basis (meaning we don't get paid for what we do), this means that most of us have fulltime jobs to fulfil as well. The result? We're short of manpower.

Basically DS-x2 needs two types of people: News posters and Wii reviewers. Both the newsie and review write, but both of them also know a set of specific requirements as defined below.

The News posters: - is often online - is interested in the entire Nintendo-gaming-industry (GBA, Nintendo DS and Wii) - is capable of performing simple image-editing (resizing and cropping of images) - has basic knowledge of HTML (bold, italic, images, linking), or is at least willing to learn these very basics - masters the English language (spelling and grammar) - fits with the 'DS-x2 style' (we're not like "BOWSER IN SSBM! OMGWTF!!!1!!one!", at least... we hope we're not.)

On the other side, the Wii Reviewer: - owns a PAL Wii - loves to write about games he/she played - also masters the English language (spelling and grammar) - is capable of playing through a game within little time

At the moment, DS-x2 is looking for multiple newsies and multiple reviewers.

If you think you're up for the task, or know someone who might be interested, don't hesitate to contact us through the contact-forms or through direct e-mail at recruitment@ds-x2.com. No previous experience is necessary, but we would like to see at least a sample article from your hand.

Of course we hope to hear from you. The time we could run this site with one or two people is far behind us...

  • I would sign on as a Wii reviewer if I owned a PAL Wii... I'm still debating whether to apply as a news poster...

  • I want to get games to play, but sadly I own a US Wii. Our games come out faster anyway so I could be prepared faster.

  • The reason we're asking for PAL-gamers is because we're currently receiving Wii-titles from several companies, but just the PAL-versions. Mind you, acquiring the titles should not be your driver...

  • More newscasters? That's cool. It's mainly just been Dennis... I haven't been around for a while mainly because of school work.
