According to the Japanese magazine Nintendo Dream, Nintendo is planning to reveil some new titles before the E3 event. Nintendo already planned a press conference near the end of February, so chances are that they'll announce some pretty nice titles soon. src: gamefront

3d6 Games quits
It's true... 3d6 Games (known from Atlantis, Tetris Worlds, Altered Beast: Guardian of the Realms and Revenge of Shinobi) closed its doors. The decision was made back in November 2002, but now it's official. On devrs.com there was an extra announcement: We have three official Nintendo GBA/GBC Dev Systems, rev i of the hardware, that we are looking to sell. Each of the systems is fully licensed for Nintendo support and may ONLY be sold to a licensed Nintendo Developer. We are only asking $2500 for each one. New Mortal Kombat
Midway is planning some new games: 8 new GBA titles for 2003, including a new Mortal Kombat game. No information given yet, but Midway did say they'll build on on previous successes. src:N-Philes

Catan for GBA?
A GBA version of the boardgame Catan could be nearer than we all thought. Just a few weeks ago, the official (Japanese) Catan site showed a boxart of a GameCube version, but today the diary-page of the producer showed a present planing for a GBA release. No more news available on this topic, but I'll keep you informed.

One-use games
Nintendo has formed a new strategy to sell games: give out demo's. GameCube's Puzzle Collection allows GBA users to download small versions of Dr Mario, etc for their GBA. However, when the GBA is turned off, the games disappear. Nintendo got the idea to give away these demo's through kiosks. Images and full story on XenGamers.
