Wii Points From Stars Catalogue

Nintendo of Europe revealed that the so-called Wii Points can be acquired from the Stars Catalogue in the near future.

The Wii Point are used to purchase downloadable content such as games for the Virtual Console or applications such as the Opera Browser (available from the 23rd of December) through the Wii Shopping Channel. The Wii Points themselves come through the use of a credit-card or can be purchased in physical form online or in your regular games-shop which supply you with a code you can enter on your Wii console to redeem the points.

European Wii-owners can link their Wii Shop Channel account to their online Nintendo membership, and will be able to enjoy additional benefits in the near future. Not only will you then be able to purchase Wii Points in the Stars Catalogue, you will also get Stars for your Virtual Console purchases upon completing a small survey.
