Wii Sets UK Sales Record

Amazon UK have just reported Wii pre-orders have totally sold out in the first 7 minutes of putting them online.

It has outdone Harry Potter and it has outdone Coldplay's 'X&Y'. The Wii. Shattering all records held by anything on Amazon UK's history. Amazon UK's console and videogames manager James Schall hd this to say about the Wii's success: "We expected a high number of people to visit the site today but the response was phenomenal."

Pre-orders taken during the seven minute window will be available for delivery on the day of launch for a small fee. So well done to everyone out there who pre-ordered, and good luck to everyone out there still trying to get a Wii.
