Wii Channel + Wii Secrets

Interestingly, Nintendo have just registered a new domain - www.wii-channel.com. Rumours are floating around that it is an interactive channel with mini games and other features. Oh yeh, and a microphone...

Rumours are strife that they say the last secret is an interactive channel, which the Wii can connect to using Wii Connect24 even when the console itself is turned off. Apparently, the Wii Channel will interact with the game currently in the console and let us know of the latest updates (levels and demos) available at the time. It will also not be like real time TV because of bandwidth.

Next, the Wiimote. Apparently - it will have a microphone built into it. With the speaker it can be used for a telephone service like Skype, with the possibility of video (through a future Wii attachment probably). Nintendo wants every person in the home to have their own Wiimote, because it identifys who you are when you play the console. It stores your phonebook, interests and so forth.
