WII Second Revolution Secret Finally Revealed?

Rumours regarding the motion sensor features of the nunchaku controller have been confirmed.

Much like the main remote contoller can be sensed in 3 dimensional space, it seems the nunchaku add-on will feature the same abilties - to a degree, and without the pointing abilties of the remote. AMN's Revolution Advanced reports that this is due to the peripheral's "acellerometer" [sic] which can tell if the device is being tilted or moved - according to Wikipedia, an accelerometer "inherently measures it's own motion, in contrast to a device based on remote sensing". The most common use of acceleromters is in airbags; the implication being that the peripheral's movement will be tracked based on its own velocity rather than tracked in 3 dimensional space.

While this has been rumoured for the past week or so, AMN are reporting that "a developer incredibly close to Nintendo" has confirmed this as being true. Is this the second secret of the Revolution? Only time (and, presumably, Nintendo's E3 keynote) will answer that.
