WII Revolution To Use USB Ports

Satoru Iwata confirms that the Revolution will feature USB compatibility.

In an interview with CNN Money's Chris Morris, Iwata spoke more on the subject of storage space for the Revolution. While the console features 512MB of internal flash storage and allows for the use of SD memory cards, the console will also feature USB ports, "so practically any storage method can be used", which is welcome news, considering the price of USB flash drives when compared to SD cards.

The interview also confirmed the appearance of new Nintendo developed games on the Virtual Console, but did not elaborate on rumours that independent content would be available. "If we can come up with an addictive, but simple title...I would make it available through the Virtual Console," said Iwata.

In a seperate interview with MTV, Iwata said that the wait for the real information will soon be over; "there are some other unique features of the Nintendo Revolution hardware that we haven't discussed yet that we will be announcing at E3."
