Nintendo Japan Calls Back Power Supplies
Nintendo of Japan has issued out a statement, calling back the power supplies for 200.000 Nintendo DS (Lite) units.
Apparently something went wrong at Nintendo of Japan's manufacturing plants. On it's official website, Nintendo makes a statement about calling back the power supplies for 200.000 Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite units.
If you own a Japanese Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite manufactured between Januari 2006 and October 2006, be sure to contact Nintendo to receive a new power supply.

I got my ds lite in september from japan as i wanted an ice blue one. But i dont use the charger that came with it. I use a british one. Hopefully I wont need to contact them. The cable wasnt made by nintendo by who knows.
they only made 200.000 in 10 months? were they ever even trying to keep up with demand? (or am I unjustly making this statement, wrongly presuming you can make more than 28 DSlites an hour?)
They made more than 200,000 in 10 months. If u look at the sales figures since the start of the year, DS Lites have sold nearly 150,000 every week. Thats almost 600,000 a month and 6,000,000 in ten months. And yet they are still trying to keep up with demand
They recalled 200,000 units only mean they have sold at least that amount. I am assuming there are more than one manufacturing plants, so unless every single plants has gone wrong, they do not need to recall every single DS manucatured between January ~ October 2006.
At least they are recalling them in the open, unlike Volvo with their throttle regulators. Damn them!
