Nintendo Plays On The Elderly
Calling all grandparents! Nintendo has an offer you can't refuse.
Nintendo celebrates Grandparents' Day with an exclusive grandparents gaming event at the Nintendo World store in New York City. Grandparents of every age and gaming experience -- from serious gamers to those who've never played before -- are invited to face off in a fun and challenging Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes A Day tournament at the store in Rockefeller Plaza.
The best gaming grandparent will earn the title of "Nintendo's Coolest Grandparent of the Year" and win two Nintendo DS Lite systems and 10 games for the DS to share with their family.
Also in honor of Grandparents' Day, the Nintendo World store will offer a "Spoil Your Grandchildren" discount of 10 percent off all purchases on Saturday, September 9, between noon and 5:00 p.m. to grandparents and their families. Grandparents can use their discount on any product in the store.
The Nintendo DS system has redefined portable gaming and helped expand gaming to new audiences, including grandparents and baby boomers. The Nintendo DS Lite system offers the same great functionality, and is now available in three cool colors: Polar White, Coral Pink and Onyx. To date, Nintendo DS has sold more than 21 million units worldwide and is the most popular portable gaming system in the world today.
