  • Only North American publishing? So why the Gamecube PAL version of Harvest Moon has Natsume name on it? Maybe they do all the western publishing for Marvelous... And why now Marvelous has decided to switch over Neverland publishing?

  • It's a common misconception, but Natsume have never had anything to do with the development of the Harvest Moon series in Japan; their involvement is limited to the English localisation and North American publishing.

  • Wow, that was great! DS FMV's are getting better and longer. I noticed a trend(not a bad one!). Once I see an animated TV commercial for a DS game, expect to see an FMV intro in the DS game mostly based around the ad.

  • I hope this game will be wastly better than Harvest Moon normal series. But there's a thing that i cannot understand: Harvest Moon wasn't made by Natsume?

    Olpus Bonzo, 30-11--0001 at 00:00
  • Natsume localizes it. Marvelous makes and publishes it in Japan.

  • Uhm... But Natsume is a developer... Maybe it is a publisher too. And Neverland? Why Marvelous didn't publish with Natsume as usual?

  • Oh, please please PLEASE video game gods, send this game to the states!

  • Even though Marvelous usually makes the Harvest Moon games, they outsourced the spin-offs Innocent Life and Rune Factory. Neverland is the one who developed Rune Factory.

  • Bleh! Would've been better had they not used a anime opening. I would've liked to see something in the style of FF3 rather than "Look kids! Its Anime! Hurry and buy it!" method. I hope the ARPG part of the game is good. There hasn't been enough ARPG's for the DS.

  • Indeed, in the past Natsume did publish the Harvest Moon games in Europe, hence the logo on the first PAL Gamecube and GBA incarnations, among others. However Rising Star Games (Marvelous' European subsidary) have the rights to publish the upcoming Harvest Moon games (and presumably first dibs on any of their other games) in Europe; Natsume's logo is notably absent from their covers. While the majority of Marvelous stuff seems to be published by Natsume in America, their relationship doesn't seem to be exclusive as Atlus is publishing Contact over there.

  • This anime intro alone tells me this isn't coming to the states. Gwarh. If they made it FF3 3D style, I think it would ruin Harvest Moon's usual animish feeling. Can't do that- no no.

    suicunesol, 30-11--0001 at 00:00
  • I disagree, plenty of games with anime FMV's/cutscenes or Jpop have made it to America.

  • First of all we need to see the gameplay video and pictures then we can talk if this game is good or not.

  • erg. not feeling the intro, it's basically harvest moon with bigger badder garden pests?

    curlyhairboy, 30-11--0001 at 00:00
  • thanks for the info.
