Pokémon Diamond/Pearl - Complete Wi-Fi Details

Just as our readers have predicted, turns out that Pokon Diamond/Pearl's Wi-Fi system will be divided into two sections, one for a more "private" party that involves friend codes, and a public system that doesn't need them.

Probably the most wanted features for this game will involve a Global Trading System and the infamous Battle Tower.

The trading system will allow you to search for any Pokon that you are looking for, and the resulting list will show all the trainers that are willing to trade that Pokon for a certain offer that you have to make. After you make an offer, the next time the trainer goes online he/she will have an option of denying or accepting your offer. If the person rejects, then obviously you won't gain anything out of it, but on the other hand; if the trainer accepts, then the trade will go through and the trainer will be "marked" in a little map as to where in the continent they live.

The Battle Tower will allow you to upload whatever team of Pokon you have to a server, and you also have the ability to "download" other people's teams and battle it out against them. The downside to this is that the CPU will be controlling those teams that you chose to download to fight against, and only teams of around your level will be downloaded. At least you'll never get bored!

Don't forget, you still have the entire friend code system to use if you want to fight or trade against people you know, or anyone you exchanged codes with.

  So they are adapting World of Warcraft's mail system for itmes, so not both seller and buyer has to be online at the same time to perform transaction.

  this is great! " i want to trade pikachu....search.... found 89 people trading" work somthing like that then search from them all and look threw there stats. that seems fair that you cant play people you dont know as its computered but at least you can with friends! hope this game will be huge! it is on my top list of next year!

  I think that the trading system sounds great. I think the battle tower will never get boring, and you are going to get to fight against various teams of Pokemon created by different people, so it's almost like battling them. You'll get to see people's Pokemon training strategies. I'm liking this.
