NDS Pokémon Diamond/Pearl - Wi-Fi Details

New details are confirmed over some of the Wi-Fi functions of the game, and all hope is gone for the exclusion of friend codes.

Thanks to DS-Meet's finding, it looks like friend codes are going to be a requirement for Wi-Fi gaming, meaning, no random battles.

"In order to communicate using the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, it is necessary to register your friend's friend code into your own version of the game. If you have engaged in direct DS-to-DS battles or trades on the 2nd floor of the Pokon Center, your friend's code will automatically be registered.

Requirements: - A friend code. Your friend will obtain it at the Pokon Wi-Fi Club in the basement of the Pokon Center.

Step One: You register your friend's 12-digit friend code into your friends list.

Step Two: Get on Wi-Fi. If a friend has been detected, you will be connected together, and you should now be able to battle or exchange Pokon freely.

Don't forget about voice chat! A convenient voice chat feature is available to let you and your friend speak! This feature turns your DS into a telephone!"
