Mother Compilation On DS?

According to the German GameFront, the latest edition of EGM states in their rumours-section that Nintendo is planning to release an Earthbound (or: Mother) compilation for the Nintendo DS. The compilation is said to feature touchscreen capabilities.

  I guess it makes sense to release these games for the newer platform in US as upgraded remakes, rather than for the almost-dead GBA since NOA is alreday (and has been) uncertain of Mother's success here. Althought this is still a rumor...
