I am not one to be impressed by flash graphics, but I got to say, this game looks good. Utlizing the dual-processor (as many people seem to forgot about DS) capability to generate impressive graphics. Using 2D mapping rather than a full 3D enviroment to achieve the illusion of freedom of movement. Wide range of usable weapons in old school side scroller style of fighting, this will make a great game for killing some time. Only thing that can make this game better is to have two player coop. style like the old Ninja Turtle games. Also, to improve the AI of the enemies a bit. The enemies in the preview are just standing there and waiting to be killed (again).
It does have two player co-op (both must own a card). Not all the enemies are brain dead either - some will follow, some will move out of your way, some circle you. It isn't GREAT AI, but I've seen a lot worse. The game doesn't suffer too much from what I call "3D puking", that is, seeing through seams in textures, walking through walls, etc. Only one time have I seen a time when the camera got 'blocked' by a tree and I couldn't see to fight (not bad at all). The boys at AMAZE get huge kudos for pulling off what I would consider the first, true "console feeling" game for the DS. I recommend it!
Is this game like Spiderman DS with side scrolling 3D?
Some parts reminded me of Soul caliber2 and that one pirate guy's level. You know...the one that says: "Burn in hell, MUHAHAHA!" and "your soul is mine!" yea...that guy. Just thought I would get people thinking.
looks AWESOME. i knew this game would look good in motion. the gameplay looks great. i only hope lego star wars for DS is this good. :)
Not like Spiderman at all, thank God. The camera system and 3D are similar to God of War in how the camera reacts to your location in the 3D world.
Very cool. I will look into getting this game once I see the movie.
