you can't deny it, its better in every single way than doom, duke, yadi yada yada.
though yes, doom, duke and quake are loved for being classics as well as oldschool and for nostalgic feel.
but as a game, content wise, MPH is better, thats a fact.
no its not, i mean as a whole, MPH is better, graphically, control wise, online wise, content wise.
and like i said, to me and many other people MPH is the best FPS on handheld.
lol
wonphi, you only has a fraction of the hand-held gaming consoles. How about FPS games on other consoles like: Game Gear, Wonder Swam, N-Gage, Gizmodo, Gadget...
And, I don't count most of the games on PSP. Mainly because those games aren't designed for it, they were designed for PS2 and just happened to be converted to PSP format. So those FPS on PSP are actually on PS2, hence, PSP don't have much games. I fell the same way about Mario 64 DS.
SOCOM on PSP is better IN MY OPINION. But thats only cos it included more players in online mode, lobby support, and in-game voice chat with the bundled headset. It's a more complete package.. but you have to overlook the shitty battery life and all that :-P
But you know, I love my DS and i love Metroid. That's just my opinion....
well, i think it is the best FPS on a handheld. yes i have PSP, GBA's Palm PC's (laptops aren't handhelds)
and i say it is safe to say it is the Best FPS on a hand held in terms of graphics, aiming, sound, quality, online, modes, voice chat lobby.
and get some friends if you want to play all modes, its not that hard, though no friend code wifi would have been better.
metroid is quite fun in lan play imo, online is a downer. I was expecting for every mode to be played online without friends.. but that wasnt the case.
the multiplayer was too samey?
its like every other PC multiplayer game.
and like the good ones rule.
the singleplayer of metroid was okay, more like a detailed training mission.
metroid = best FPS on handheld.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN the Last 2 FPS for DS sucked.
METROID OWNED, and plays like a PC FPS with astounding looking character models, environment and grphical detail.
with full cutscene movies.
If only they can use Kirby's or Wario's cartridge on GBA for this game, it will be perfect. The one that you have to tilt the Gameboy to make Kirby roll.
Combining Wario Ware's turn function, making the player have to physically move DS up, down, left, right, forward, and backward to rotate the screen. Just like a gyration control that Wii uses. Except the screens and controller are one of the same.
considering screenshots dont give handhelds justice that dose look good, glad the ds is startin to get some more fps games since metroid came out onit, hop this plays good

Metroid Prime Hunters was boring + repetetive, the multiplayer mode was way too samey. Don't like the look of this game.

Lets see, Doom is better, Duke Nukem 3D is on par with it, Quake is better. They are less linear and more pleasing artistically.

You were expecting something good from Nintendo's online service? Pff, they need to fix the whole damn thing?
metroid is quite fun in lan play imo, online is a downer. I was expecting for every mode to be played online without friends.. but that wasnt the case.
Metroid is the best FPS on DS, no way it is the best FPS on handheld.
Correction.. "metroid = best FPS on DS"
the multiplayer was too samey? its like every other PC multiplayer game. and like the good ones rule. the singleplayer of metroid was okay, more like a detailed training mission. metroid = best FPS on handheld.
I should have a working build in the next few weeks so I'll let you know if possible.
That looks pretty good actually. Well... graphically.
I dunno... looks kinda like a mix of Resident Evil and Golden Eye. Although that should be a good mix, those games weren't the best on the DS...
metroid did own , just all the others suck
WHAT DO YOU MEAN the Last 2 FPS for DS sucked. METROID OWNED, and plays like a PC FPS with astounding looking character models, environment and grphical detail. with full cutscene movies.
Looks like it could be crap like King Kong
wut is this game about? i hate zombies
Treasure should port the IQ version of sin and punishment to the DS..omg that would rule.
its looks good but...the last few 1st person shooters kinda sucked
It's an arcade shooter on rails. Use the touchscreen and stylus instead of lightgun (ie Point Blank) Still, its very interesting.

neat, if they put in a good control scheme. yes, I will concur that the environment is plain, but these are just the first screenshots dude.
environment is plain
Looks beautiful indeed...uhoh...where's the crosshair? That's not good... ;>_>
considering screenshots dont give handhelds justice that dose look good, glad the ds is startin to get some more fps games since metroid came out onit, hop this plays good
Wow, that does look good.
