Koei's new Samuarai Warriors game tops the charts this week along with a number of new releases. Not much has changed after that, Sega's Initial D anime arcade racer for the PSP also pops in but wasn't able to beat Brain Training or Animal Crossing's sales for the week. Hardware sales also stay steady this week since Nintendo was able to ship at least enough of the old Nintendo DS hardware to keep the top spot. However, while things are pretty stable for this weeks sales, the sales chart will show the launch of the DS Lite next week and that should change things up quite a bit.

  • It doesn't have a date yet, but I don't see it doing well over there anyway.

  • Yeah, Japan's not big on Metroid for whatever reason. I can't wait to see what the DS lite does to next week's charts. :)

  • Given that they didn't ship much, it's not surprising.

    Jay, 30-11--0001 at 00:00

  • japan and fps = no chance... they dont like games that have humans with guns. just people with swords or metal giant machines with guns. after that its just puppies and learning sims nowadays.

    forza, 30-11--0001 at 00:00
  • Nintendo shipped less than 100K on the first day.
