Monster Hunter tops the charts with a new installment for the PS2, but DS software also continues to hold on to the chart well. As you can see, new shipments have been made and the DS has taken back the top spot in the hardware charts this week. Both the DS and PSP have reach a new benchmark as well, the DS has now sold over 6 million units while the PSP has now sold over 3 million units.

  • @ shinneri: Monster Hunters Portable is actually the PSP's shining software in Japan currently (and interestingly enough) with sales probably attributed to the fact that Monster Hunter 2 also came out. It's been poking its head in the top 10 a couple of times since its release. =P Everything seems relatively normal for this week's sales. ^_^

  • These numbers are new units only--although Nintendo has stopped producing original GBAs, there are still ones left over in stores around japan.
