No Plans For DS Redesign At E3
Nintendo UK's general manager David Yarnton has reiterated that the company has no plans to announce a redesigned DS unit at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo.
"Pressed on the issue of a possible redesign for the high-flying handheld, which recently broke through the one-million-UK-sales barrier, Yarnton said, "That's been rumoured, I don't know for how long, but we haven't got any plans at the moment." Well there you go folks.

Well, he is right, the redesign won't be presented there, because it's shown at that time.
Since when are NoE in the know about anything? Or he's suggesting it'll be shown earlier...
Nintendo UK and US both denied the existance of redesigned NDS. Nintendo Japan hasn't made any comment yet. But the maker of iQue (the Chinese company that makes the cheap knock-off of GameBoy, GBA, GBASP, NGC, and NDS that clearly stole the design but US copyright law cannot touch China) says that regardless Japan are going to release NDS SP (temporary name) or not, they are going to make their own iDS SP that uses the new LED screen (rather than backlight) to reduce the thickness and weight of their DS.
iQue is a nintendo owned company. The systems aren't rip offs but actually official licensed products.
lol...
Reply to LeSomeGuy: O RLY? lol
I really dont think that the DS needs to have a redesign its fine the way it is
I do *sniff*
The systems aren't made by iQue, but made by Nintendo, but they have the iQue mark due to laws in China.
lol @ LeSomeGuy :D don't accuse Nintendo of being cheap knockoffs :) I was really hoping for a redesigned DS at E3 this year.
I like him...
