DS Redesign Presented January 16?
According to our friends at Lik-Sang claim to have received word that Nintendo will release an official statement on the supposed new Nintendo DS on January 16.
If you got it from place like EBGames, you can probabily use the warrenty to upgrade to the new DS rather than buying a new one.
Besides, January 16 is just a date to release official statement, that means the release date of the new DS is going to be a while.
3 years ago, when the rumor of NDS was out, I already saved up $200 for it. Now, I am saving up $400 to upgrade my DS to DS-SP (?) and also hopefully I would have enough leftovers for NRS.
lol, $400, wtf you on about, if this does exist it aint gonna cost more than $150, what exactly can they do to make it better? Reduce the size is all really, that isn't going to increase the price by much even if it does.
Absolutely I want a re-design. I love the DS, but it's far from ergonomic, and it's pretty huge.
A re-design is very welcome from me... though my wallet's not so thrilled (especially after I just got a GBM... and still want a GP2X). :-P

Hope that the price of the original Nintendo DS will be dropped, so i can get one.

Nope, because some Nintendo DS games makes use of the GBA port (to connecto with GBA games or for accessories like the rumble pack).
Does anyone actually think that there is any point in designing and then making a new NDS?

I don't think we'll see the removal of the GBA backward compatability, there's just too much potential there for NDS developers: Option Packs!
SO where is this redesign? I thought it was suppose to be shown on the 16th, but it's already the 19th.
