Looks good hope it has a release outside of Japan..
very unlikely to get released outside Japan.. just import it.
Unlike Yu Yu Hakusho, characters in Bleach does not use skill and wits to beat opponent. Power level and who is angrier are the two only factors determing who would win the battle. So, exactly how can they implement the combat system based on those kind of battle? Best I can figure, it's going to be one of those games that you can only attack or block, unlike other games like King of Fighters or Street Fighters that have complicated combat system.
P.S. That was not a rhetorical question, I would seriously like to know. I am doing my college research on how to make a decent video game, and so far I am getting very little results.
OMG I NEED THIS GAME! Treasure kicks ass + bleach + online= jawsomeness
Looks great; hopefully the GC version should arrive by Friday, so that should tide me over till January!!
@ lesomeguy: I'm sure that the battle system is far more intricate than that, especially juding from the video from actual bottom screen support, 'bankai' (a kind of super move for some of the characters), along with various other commands. Can't wait till Treasure/Sega reveal more about the combat system (and to import it as well...;))
I know the battle system HAS to be better than the one they shown on anime, or otherwise the game won't sell. I would just like to know what it was. I just spent the past 2 months or so studing Final Fantasy Tactic coding and game system, I am very impressed.
So far, this game doesn't seems like it qualify as a fighting game, more like a beat-um up game. Just like Street of Rage and Double Dragon kind of game rather than fighting game.
^^That's like saying Super Smash Bros isn't a fighting game. It is; all that's different is that there are platforms to jump on. It is no scrolling beat em up.
Exactly, Super Smash Brothers is a combat game. There is nothing bad about combat game, as the matter of fact, Smash Brother 64 is one of my favorite game. It's just that combat game is generally associated with button mashing, and fighting game is more associated with fireball motion (down, down-forward, forward) and reaction. I have already studied Super Smash Brothers Melee fighting system, so don't need to do that anymore.
