Namco Registers New Tales Trademarks

Namco has registered four new trademarks in japan, all Tales of titles.

GameFront is reporting that Namco has acquired four new titles for possible games. Although the destinated platforms have not yet been revealed, we've got a slight idea about one of the titles. The four titles are:Tales of TempestTales of HowlingTales of Two FaithsTales of Doom Sign

Back in October, we reported that Famitsu magazine held a few new announcements for the Nintendo DS, including Tales DS. Where Tales DS is of course a working title, one of the above mentioned new titles resembles a trend often followed in nowadays' Nintendo DS titles: Tales of Doom Sign.

Of course, we cannot give one 100% certainty of our theory, but most likely the Nintendo DS will see a Tales of Doom Sign.

  That Doom Sign is so lame... -_- Namco, you don´t have to put letters D and S in DS game if you can´t come up with a good name. Oh, and stop milking Tales of-series.

  Tales has gone down hill. Tales of Phantasia was publically recognized to be best ARPG there is. The the rest not only cannot keep up with Phantasia's standard, they are just keeps on getting worse and worse. In order to make a quality game, developers generally concentrate all their efforts on one game and make it to perfection. Namco is making 4 Tales title and now 4 more on the way. Having too many project leads to the diseaster of Batman 3 and Batman 4. Those two movies came out almost back to back, and they both sucked.

  Ugh.. Doom Sign? You gotta be kidding.. I hope it ends up being Two Faiths (which I'm sure it won't) :| Oh well, still has the potential to be good! Right?

  'Tales of' series is frigging fantastic! though i agree with the name 'Doom Sign' it doesn't sound that good. Tales of Two Faiths sounds better and could well be the DS game..
