Yet another Mario Party game owning the charts as Nintendo & Hudson releases their 7th installment of the series. Shinobido Imashine did quite well for trying to accomplish on the PS2 what N3 will on the X-Box 360. Daredemo Asobi Taizen will likely have strong legs as it's Nintendo's latest "Touch! Generations" game at a budget price. The Pachislot game also continues to sell well, but was beaten by Daredemo Asobi Taizen this week. Overall, I think sales went well this week (this is pretty common now for Japan) and it should be interesting to see how Gundam, Pokon, and Talkman all do next week. On the hardware front not much has changed, GBM/GBA seems to have gone down a bit and PSP sales have gone up a bit. This is the PS2's worst selling week this year and the first time it's gone below 20K, but as usual the DS is dominating them all and is the top selling piece of hardware for the week.

  • Yeah, Animal Crossing will KILL in the ratings. This just goes to show that Mario Party hasn't lost its steam. If they keep making 'em, I'll keep buying 'em. :)
