After the recent shots, the japanese text translates to some lovely info on New. Mario Bros..

Mario and Co. can now wear Koopa shells with the shells giving him different powers according to the colour. A Wireless Co-Op Mode will be included; In the Magazine there is a short interview with Takashi Tezuka the games producer. He said he wished the players in the co-op mode to be able to help each other through the game, but for both players to be in competition with each other. He likened the Co-Op mode to a similar style of game play featured in Zelda: Four Swords. While every level will end with a Flag pole at the end its not just about getting their first other factors will come into play. The Mario theme music will return however music composer Koji Kondo is also making new music for the game.

  Sweet! I already have a lot of games I want to buy, so I probably won't get this game on launch date or anytime soon. Maybe Q2 next year. This game is shaping up to be awesome, though.

  Wonder if Co-Op reqires 1 Cart or 2 Carts. I really hope you only need one because I only know of one person getting it (I know a LOAD of people with DS's but they don't want this game) - me.

  Ah...finally! A classic, new Mario sidescroller. Been waiting quite a while for this. Backgrounds look excellent, the atmosphere feels great, and it's shaping up to be pure Mario goodness. :P

  If the co-op mode is not just a "gimmick" and they make it some how that has a crap load of replay value then...just then...this game will be worth it.
